Re: Nap Help

  • We just transitioned our daughter to her crib.  We had thought that we would do it for naps first, get her used to it, and then at night.  But it was so hard in the daytime- maybe because of the light and not being tired enough- that it never really worked, so we have actually gotten her to sleep in the crib at night and haven't yet for naps.  I don't think any baby is a fan of being put down for sleep, so you're not alone.  We certainly don't have a perfect system.  If you like co-sleeping with her, then I'm not sure you have to stop, but it may make it a little harder for her to learn to nap in the crib.  We've just done the crying it out method, and, at least at night, it has worked.  I know some people are not fans of it, but last night was night 5 and she already didn't really cry when we put her down and she slept through the night, so it's worked for us.
