I am getting a cleaning lady.  Yup I am a SAHM and cannot keep up with the housework.  So once every other week she will come in and do the deep cleaning stuff that I have no time for anymore.  And we are putting our house on the market soon so that will become even more important.  I have a very wonderful DH who (I think) understands just how difficult it has been for me to keep up.  Flame me, and my very (soon to be) clean house.

Dh offerd for a long time, I've been trying drowning for so long trying to do this on my own.  But I just decided to go with it.  Once we sell this house and move into a new one I will have her come once a month, also just for the deep cleaning.

Wow that would be awesome. I'm so jealous if I had the money I'd do it. Except I would want her full time, a cook, and a baby interpreter that could tell me why my baby's crying.

She will be 80 dollars every other week, for a 2400 sqaure foot house, 100 for the first visit.

No flames here - we have one that comes every other week and I just have one kid. It's great because I know no matter what, our house gets a good deep clean 2x a month and I don't have to stress about things like dusting the blinds or mopping the entire house. LO has been super clingy and needy lately (and not napping) so I get 0 alone time during the day. I'd hate to spend the scraps of time I have after LO goes to bed constantly cleaning our house. Enjoy it - it's truly worth every penny !!

$90 for a 3500 sqft house every other week (would be $75 if I had her come every week). I think anywhere from $50 for a small house/apartment up to $120 for a huge house is reasonable.

No flames here.  Just a little jealous! Lol.  I used to have a cleaning lady too when we lived in a bigger house.  At that time, I only had DS1 and only worked part time.  It's such a great feeling when she leaves and the house is so sparkly clean!  You're a lucky lady : )

I'm so jealous! I so wish we could afford one and my husband be on board. He, who doesn't have to vacuum everyday, thinks its wasteful.

This. I got pretty much nothing done when I was on maternity leave and even less now that I'm back at work. I would trade cable for a cleaning lady, but DH isn't on board with that. He does exactly none of the cleaning and is apparently not bothered by a filthy house.
