So moody

Does anyone else feel really really moody? I am only about 4 1/2 weeks pregnant. I feel really bad for my husband.  I even feel bad for my dog.  When my husband came home from work he started playing with the dog..... I was annoyed by his yelling and her barking! I have had to give up so much I think my body is aggravated.  When he pours a glass of wine I get mad too.  My normal routine after a long day at work was to watch my shows and have a glass of wine. No more of that!

  • I don't think it's over the top. I think you're right on schedule! lol!
I've had days where the way my husband says a certain word is annoying and I just have to leave lol....
Also, if he's pouring himself a glass of wine, maybe pour yourself some grape juice or apple juice or something so you FEEL like you're still kind of participating in the ritual. I know it's not the same as actually HAVING the wine but it's the best of the situation you're in. Just try to remove yourself from situations and take a bit of a breather when you feel yourself getting out of hand. I've had moments where I've felt on the verge of rage....that's a very foreign feeling to me. So I took a step back, tried to do some calm breathing...and definitely avoided my husband for the next while! Around the 4-5 week mark is when it's been the worst for me.

  • I have been very middy but I don't feel sorry for my husband he has been as much of an ass as I have! Not being supportive of my mood changes at all...
  • You make it sound like you're a pregnancy martyr that has had to give up SO much. Do you know how many women would die to be in our position? We're all in the same boat, and we're are all moody, but try to make a conscious effort to not take it out on your husband. I get really annoyed with my husband too, and I have to check myself quite a bit, but that's my fault, not his, and he shouldn't have to give anything up just because I do.

  • Yep.  Really moody.  Then I get upset with myself for being a little rude or impatient, which makes me even moodier.  My poor hubby, son, dog, and students! (I'm a teacher...and even the kids have seen not-so-nice Mrs. P.).

  • I didn't mean to make it sound like I am a pregnancy martyr. I understand a lot of women would want to be in my position but my body has been through a lot in it's short life span.  I am very very nervous about this whole process and was just venting. Sorry if you took it the wrong way!

  • It's the hormones. We are probably all going trough mood swings, I know I am. If I get moody and yell at my husband I then feel bad about it later and apologize explaining its the hormones. I think as long as you recognize you are being moody an apologize later it'll be ok. At least that's worked well for me so far. Good luck :
