My daughter is 18 months and we still use it. Her bedroom is upstairs so it is nice to have it downstairs for when we are still up and just check in on her and not have to run upstairs every time she makes a noise. I plan on using it as long as we need to especially when we switch to a toddler bed to make sure she isn't destroying her room.
Never had a video monitor. We used a plain monitor until she was 6 months, then we moved and it stayed in storage. T was actually looking at video monitors at target yesterday, I said nah, we didn't need one. We haven't used one in a year.
I don't intend on buying another one, so whenever we have another LO I guess.
This is what I'm debating. Another camera to hook up would be another $100 and I'd rather not but I'm not sure if 2 is a good age to stop being so paranoid.

A while... Ours is an IP camea, so I can look at her while I'm at work. Love that.

Re: Video Monitors
Until she leaves for college? Too long?
But no, I have no idea. I think until she goes to bed without throwing tantrums probably.
