Gah! Pregnancy rage has hit! Last night after dinner DH went ahead and packed up the leftovers into two containers for our lunches. Today I go to eat lunch (reminder- I am 37 weeks pregnant and hungry as a hippo!) and realize that he took an entire huge Sam's Club sized chicken breast for himself and left me one teeny little chicken tenderloin (like the size of two fingers.) I swear, I saw red. Now granted, I am not suffering for calories these days but I talk CONSTANTLY about how I'm trying to make sure I get enough healthy protein for the baby's sake (who has been measuring small enough to warrant 3 growth U/S, mind!) And really, he weighs about 170 lbs and I'm up past 150 at this point. The "I'm bigger and need more food" argument doesn't hold water. There is just no way that he didn't realize that he was not sharing fairly, here.
NOT TO MENTION that my leftovers are usually shared with DD.
OMG, I could kill him. And yes, I realize I am irrationally ragey and that it's purely hormonal, but this man had better surprise me with some ice cream later!!!
Re: DH should know better than to mess with my food!
Me too! Sounds like he didn't think things through. Isn't it better for him to be hungry than for him to have a mad pregnant hungry wife?
BFP #2 5/27/12. EDD 2/1/13. m/c and D&C 6/21/12.
I'm glad you're all on my side! I mean, for heaven's sake, he can always just toss some extra granola bars and bags of chips in his lunch bag for if he's hungry. He never gets chubby so he can eat whatever. I, on the other hand, have gained a trillion pounds and don't need an excuse to eat crap. Which, incidentally, is exactly what happened after I scarfed down my too-tiny, non-protein packed lunch and was still starving...
I ended up going through the Taco Bell drive through (which I NEVER do) and eating brownies. Unexpected hunger plus very pregnant cranky lady is NOT a good combination. Now I feel sick.
Oh the screams from Hell would be raging over my Hubbs, if he'd taken some food that I had outseen to be MINE! I am no *** (I tell myself
), but you don't mess with the food!
I'm in a crying mood today and that made me cry. Seriously. It's not nice at all.
Also on the list of things that made me cry, I came home to a disasterous house. I left DH a note to clean the kitchen and he did half a load of dishes. That's it. That's clean. They are showing our house tomorrow and he's done NOTHING to help. However, there was an empty beer on the counter and he left the channel on the one that uses the playstation, so I'm sure he had time to lounge before work, just not be helpful!
bwahahaaa! this is SO ME! I have total food aggression, pg or not.
I hope you got your ice cream!
