GF/CF Diet

As it relates to ASD symptoms, does this only potentially help if an actual gluten or dairy intolerance has been identified?  Also, does it only potentially help if its done 100%?  Or does just making as many substitutions/eliminations as you can help?

TIA!

Re: GF/CF Diet

  • Yes, it's only if your child has celiac/gluten sensitivity that it would make a difference. You can get a false negative result from a celiac blood test or a false negative from an allergy test so really the only way you'll know is if you eliminate gluten if your child is reacting to it.  You need to do it 100%--if your child is actually having a reaction to gluten you're not going to want to half-ass it.
