I'm getting ready to start moving some of my newborn diapers down into storage. I was wondering if I should go to the trouble of stripping them before I do. I have no reason to think they need to be stripped, but I didn't know if I should get them as clean as possible before storing them. Also some are stained, so should I go to the trouble of sunning them now or will the stains come out with sunning when I use them for the next kiddo in a few years? I'm in PA and while I know that warmth does not equal sunlight, but I also don't feel like traipsing through the foot of snow in 11 degrees to hang my diapers on my line if the stains will come out later.
Re: Storing Diapers
Pretty much all of this. Also, store them in a breathable container like a cardboard box, not a plastic bin. The whole pulling out and washing thing I saw being recommended for every six to twelve months if it will be more than a year between uses.

I think you just changed my life!!! What about the car dashboard? I can get way more sun on them that way.
