Good morning ladies. I hope everyone is feeling well this Tuesday! I am scheduled for a c-section in 3 weeks due to my baby being breech and no chance of him turning for various reasons. I have my weekly appointment today at 37 weeks and am wondering if they will still do cervical checks to make sure I am not dilated at all? I'm not sure what that would accomplish other than me maybe being prepared to go to the hospital earlier than 40 weeks for the c-section or totally freak me out. Does anyone have experience with this or thoughts?
Re: Scheduled C-section and cervical checks
I'm having a RCS but I'm going to ask to be checked tomorrow because I haven't been checked as of to date and I'm just curious to see where I am!!
I am also having a c-section due to a breech baby (baby A). I am having cervical checks but only because he is footling breech (doctor doesn't want him to descend any further as it can be dangerous) and I had a PTL scare at 33 weeks that landed me in L&D.
If it wasn't for babies position, I would decline them as it doesn't really have any indication on when you will go into active labor with out things like contractions, water breaking etc.06/12 - BFP!!!!
