Nightmares?

So yesterday, B was completely asleep in his swing, I had just looked in on him and by the time I got from his room to the living room where the monitor is I heard the most terrifying shreiky scream. It was almost like his pain scream. I went running back in there and he was still semi sleeping but crying. When can they start having nightmares?

My son does the same thing. It's horribly sad. I assumed it was a dream too. No matter what it is, I still hate when he gets that upset! Do you usually just wake up your LO and he stops?

Yep. I scooped him up and started crying with him haha. It was just soo pitiful!

Dd did this last night like 15 mins after I put her down for the night... Picked her up and rocked her for a couple minutes, I don't know if she even woke up or needed me to pick her up. It was just so sad and scared the poop out of me.

When Z does that I just rub her back or caress just to let her know I'm there.

Mine has done this a handful of times since he was about maybe 2 weeks... which is strange to me that he would have nightmares so young.  What is he having nightmares about at that age?  Being denied the boob??
