Behind on wonder weeks?

Raylan is a week shy of four months...but showing textbook wonder week 12... Clingy, fussy, rubbing his head, grabbing his ear, learning to hold things, spit bubbles, sleeping and eating poorly....seems clearly like wonder week 12. Any of your babes behind on their wonder weeks?  He was born at 38 weeks, but that still means he is a few weeks behind.

  • The eating and sleeping poorly sounds like it could be the four month wakeful to me. The ear grabbing combined with fussiness, clingyness, and poor eating makes me wonder about an ear infection though. Of course it could be he's figured out how to grab his ears so he likes to do it, lol.

  • I never really took the wonder weeks too seriously or textbook as far as amount of weeks.  I would just look at the signals of the upcoming ones to see what DD was entering.

  • Could be the 4 month wakeful. It's also important to remember that every baby develops at their own pace. Wonder weeks and typical milestones are a very, very loose guide of what to expect.

I was worried about that too, but it's more like he's playing with his hair than anything else.  Haha, no signs at all of fever and the inside of his ear isn't at all red either.
