Back-2-Back IUIs?

I'm scheduled for my first IUI a week from tomorrow.  Funny how time flies when you don't want it to and crawls when you're on the verge of a nervous breakdown.

Anyway, a girlfriend of mine said that her RE had suggested back-2-back IUIs.    Has anyone been recommended that or had it?  Thoughts/feelings?

Dx PCOS @ 16y.o
9/2011: unplanned natural conception and MC @ 6weeks Cycle 1: 12/2012: TI & 2000MG Metformin & 100MG Clomid = CP
Functional Cyst - fixed with 2wks BCP
Cycle 2: 1/31/13: IUI #1
Meds:2000MG Metformin, 100MG Clomid, HSG/Trigger, Provera 400mg 2DPIUI
Stats: SA 20mil & 63% mot/follicles (as per 1/30 u/s): 22, 13, 14
BFP! Beta #1 13DPiui: 79! Beta #2 15DPiui: 164! Beta#3 19DPIUI: 773! First US scheduled 3/5! EDD Oct 23!

    A lot of people do B2B IUIs. If you don't have MFI and aren't completely OOP, it can't hurt.

    My RE said since we're MFI, he wouldn't even discuss it...but that even for his non-MFI patients he doesn't feel it increases chances.  I think if you have the money to do it - why not.  But if your RE isn't doing it I would not worry too much.  

    If you do B2B you do IUIs 12 hours before and 12 hours after the egg is supposed to drop.  If you do one, then it's inbetween that.  But since there are studies that show the best amount of sperm to equal success is 10-20mil but after 20 million there doesn't seem to be an increase in the rate of success I don't think it matters.

    My RE also gives this option.  I haven't really talked to him about how much higher the success rate is if you do 1 compared to 2, but if we can afford it this cycle I think we will probably do 2.  Good luck to you!

    We did B2B IUI, my Dr recommends that, will be doing B2B every IUI coming up too, can't hurt, we did at 12 hrs and 36 hrs after trigger. 
    Me: 32, DH: 34.
    Trying since Jan 2011. Unexplained IF.
    2 IUIs = BFN.
    1 IVF (Dec 2013) = BFN.
    FET, 2 frosties (June 13, 2014)

    14dp5dt-June 27 -BFP, beta 2061. 2nd beta >5000, 3rd beta >5000, 2 sacs 06/30.
    Twin Girls - 02/11/15 - at 37 weeks (no NICU, home with me at 3 days).
