Now that my twins are almost two, I'm finally starting their baby books. I bought scrapbooks before they were born and lately realized it was never going to happen. I just bought the Baby Edition Project Life kits and am going to try that - insert some pictures and notes and captions etc., as I have time, instead of trying to do something where I have to put pages together myself.
I'm wondering, though, am I making this harder by making three separate books? If they grow up and each take their baby book with them, I would have no family albums. But the idea of keeping a fourth album seems pretty crazy!
What do you do in your family?
Re: Tell me about your scrapbooks/baby albums/Project Life books
I had the twin baby books & definitely made one for each- that is a lifelong keepsake, they each need one if you're going to do it! Mine only has a lot of detail through year one and hten has bday pages for 2nd, 3rd & maybe 4th. We did CIO at 7 months and honestly I filled in most of it then, it was my distraction during the crying. I don't have a copy of their baby books, they're just for them when they are grown.
Every year I make a mypublisher book. For year 1 I made 3 different ones- 1 that was a combo w/ all my fave photos of both kids over the year, I got myself & my mom a copy. Then I pared the combo one down to one that focused more on DS and one that focused more on DD (of course there were lots of pix of both of them in each but to make it more about the individual child). For years 2 & 3 I made just one book and ordered copies for me, my mom & one for each child for the future and I plan to continue this, though I suspect that I will be taking fewer photos over time & probably will end up combining years, plus that is kind of a lot of books to have over time! I think maybe once school years hit I'll do combo year books or something.
