Yay :[ Strep

Fantastic. I've been feeling icky since yesterday, and the spots showed up on my throat today. I'm patiently waiting for the ER dr to bring me a one time penicillin shot. T and Ps that this nips it in the bud...and that G stays healthy. The dr said it's rare for children under 2 yo to get strep though so FX.

    Oh my, I hope the meds work quick and LO wasn't catch it.  I remember the one time I had strep very well and I can't imagine taking care of a baby in the middle of it.  I hope you feel better soon!

    I know your pain, I have it too!

    I went to ER on Friday because I'd been feeling terrible (and my DH had gone in the week before and tested positive). I basically walked in, my BIL was working and I told him I had strep. He did a quick swab and said yup, here's your prescription. I felt like SH!T for 3 days, but after that the meds seem to have kicked in.

    It was really hard to look after my son because I was so exhausted and only wanted to sleep, but so did my husband. And I didn't want to bring DS to my parents because I didn't want them to get it...it sucked.

    So glad to hear there's light at the end of the tunnel! I just really hope I didn't already infect DH.
