Any other LO's hate their high chair?

My kid freaks out the minute I put him in "the chair" as we call it.  Even as I lower him in, he starts arching his back and generally freaking out.  Anyone else?  He'll eat a little bit in the chair and then just lose patience.  If I hold him or let him sit on the floor to eat, he will, but I don't want this to become normal. 

Thoughts?

FWIW he also HATES his car seat.  He screams when I even open the door and he sees it!

    Keep putting him in the high chair. If he makes a fuss ignore it. It's probably a phase.

    Perhaps he would like a booster at the table.  Otherwise I agree to ignore it and it will eventually pass.
