So I've been waiting for an appointment at the children's neurodevelopmental center at our children's hospital for my DD. I sent in the insanely long packet of paperwork and heard nothing. Called and left messages-- got no call back. I vented about this to my pedi today at my DDs 2 year well visit. I was expecting the wait for an appointment to be long--not to get an appointment on their schedule! My pediatrician was not happy with this so she called on my DD's behalf. Today I got a call from the neurodevelopmental center with an apology, an appointment in under 6 weeks (the wait time is usually 6-12 months!!) and I'm at the top of their cancellation list. I'm so freaking excited.
The downside...my pediatrician said to me "you seem stressed out. Have you considered going back to work and putting the kids in daycare?" I was like .
Re: I have a love/hate relationship with my pedi.
Because going back to work would help decrease your stress. Ummm, ok doc.
I'm glad you got an expedited appt out of it though!
