STM's I've got a question for you

Did any of your LO's have any regression or behavior changes before your 2nd LO was born?  Did they display changes after 2nd LO was brought home?

Over the last couple of weeks J has been letting me cuddle him, hold him, and rock him like a baby.  Seems to enjoy it a lot actually.  He's also gotten very interested in pulling at my shirt and poking at my tatas.  I'm not sure what to think about it.

My cats are circling and clinging to me because they sense the baby coming soon.... maybe my toddler does too?  lol

  • I'm not a STM but G occasionally asks to be rocked like a baby and treated like a baby. Same sort of "play" she does with her baby dolls. She also is generally interests in breasts and nips lately too. So maybe it's just the age and nothing to do with the upcoming baby sibling. Just my two cents.

  • Right before the baby was born, A started biting me.  This continued for a few weeks after B was born.  He has pretty much stopped the biting, although he does it once in awhile and only on me.  But I don't know if that was a biting phase that just happened to coincide with the baby or if it was really related.  The fact that it was happening BEFORE the baby makes me think it was just a coincidence.

I don't think A would have sensed a baby coming if he was staring at my birth canal haha. He seemed to really have no clue about what was happening.

  • He's incredibly aware of baby brother coming he just doesn't realize that the baby doesn't leave.  I do have to agree that it's probably just coincidence that he's acting strange all of a sudden.  He just hasn't been interested in being held or rocked in a looooooong time and  I swear if he makes me flash people at the grocery one more time I'm gonna have to tie his hands down lol

  • DS didn't act differently before, nor did he act differently immediately after. But, for the past 2 months or so, his sleeping habit/routine has changed for the worst. He needs us to stay with him till he falls asleep & he wakes at night multiple times. I think he needs the reassurance that we are nearby? I'm pretty sure the addition of DD to the family has played into this.

He hasn't had any interest in BFing or other baby-like things, though.

  • Griff was normal before and right after Bishop came.  Its just recently that his behavior is changing.  Hes a lot more clingy and babyish towards me.  Hes also having more tantrums.  =/
  • A didnt have any major regression with before or when J arrived. He did regress after I had surgery 6weeks pp and couldn't lift him for 6 weeks. We saw a lot more tantrums and acting out, then we put him daycare part time last month and we have seen some regression/behavior changes but I think FINALLY he is adjusting. He has been my happy smiling boy again after a rough couple months. There are times lately he likes to be cuddled or rocked which is unusual for him but we enjoy the extra snuggles. Whenever he see the baby nursing he goes "J milk" and last week he grabbed my nip when I was changing before swim class and said "Boobies!" First time I heard him say that word and I was fairly shocked in general lol.

  • Not a STM but C has also been going through a "baby" phase lately.  He wants us to rock him, he crawls around, and sometimes he makes funny crying sounds and insists he's a baby.  I let him for a few minutes and then remind him he's a big boy and we should go find a fun big boy activity.
