What is going on with my ange!?!?

So Lilly has been such a dream baby...until yesterday. She seems to be having trouble pooping, and had either been fussy or on my boob constantly. She was sleeping like 4 hours at a time at night and during the day taking 2 to 3 hour naps. She has not slept longer than an hour! Anybody been there? Should I be worried? It's been sooo long since I've had a baby, I'm a little lost.

Cluster feeding and growth spurt. It happens around 2 to 3w, 4w and at other times. DD is 4w, and yesterday she seemed to want to feed every hour. Today she settled down. It comes and goes. Hang in there!

I vote growth spurt too ~ but if she gets worse, or isn't better in a week, maybe a call to the pedi, just to be on the safe side?  

But - and I don't know if this is the case for you - but my DS had horrible constipation issues from about two weeks on, and even though his stomach was full, and he couldn't poop, he'd insist on eating constantly (subconsciously thinking he'd be able to push the poop out with an even fuller stomach??), and wouldn't sleep bc of gas.   

So yeah, food for thought there.  Whatever it is, hope it gets settled soon!

Colic?  The timing is right for it, as are the symptoms.  GL.  Colic sucks.

DH insisted I call the pedi, he can't stand to see his baby girl upset. The Dr suggested the most likely cause was dry air, and the water was coming it of the stool to keep the moisture she needed. Also why she was at the breast so much to get more liquid...He suggested a humidifier and maybe using a rectal thermometer lubed up to help her poop.

I had this thought as well.  Fingers crossed this is just a blip and not colic (says a colic survivor).

I don't have any advice different than the PP's but wanted to send hugs - it's so hard when they won't sleep...  Hang in there!
