Hi ladies, would it be ok for me to join you over here??

I've been on the 3T board since December 2011 and on IF since July 2012. Some of you I've seen over on IF so maybe you recognize me?

Anywho....I have panhypopituitarism (which is in my siggy) but that means that my pituitary doesn't properly give off signals so I have irregular hormone levels on all accounts. I don't ever, ever, ever get a period without Provera/Prometrium and I sure as hell don't ovulate without the good stuff.

We did 2 IUIs early last year before moving to IVF. We did 4 IVF cycles (one cancelled 3 failed) in the last 6 months. I'm mentally and physically exhausted and confused as to where to go from here.

My husband and I are in a holding pattern for now.There are a list of doctors I'd like to meet with (RE and RI) before we decide our next steps. If someone can explain our implantation failure then I'd be willing to try another IVF down the road. If its really an egg quality issue we're willing to consider DE. If no one can explain this then we're going to adopt. Regardless, we're going to be on a break 6-12 months. Impatient me is not going to deal well...ugh.

I'm so sorry about your cycle. I was following you on IF. What were the stats on the embryos you've transferred that didn't implant?  Good/bad?  If they were good, you def need to explore immunology before embarking on DE. As a DE failure (but with bad embryos), I know DE isn't a cure all. Leave no stone unturned. Hugs.

Welcome and I'm so sorry you are here.  McIrish is right.. leave no stone unturned.  I had 2 cycles where I actually got pregnant, but sadly both ended in miscarriages.  2 other cycles I had at least 1 8 cell  at transfer.  My immunology testing came back normal.  They tell me that the embryos may "look" great but there is no way of knowing unless you do PGD testing.  I never have enough embryos to do that.  This cycle only one was retrieved.  Won't know till tomorrow if it fertilized, then will have to wait an see if it makes it to a 3 day transfer.  I am DOR (and seems to be rapidly diminishing).  If this cycle doesn't work we will be moving on to one cycle of donor.  Good luck to you..... sending hugs your way.

Welcome, after reading your sig and hearing your story I think you should consult with the Beer Center your immune system could be to blame. Also what is your T3?

I'm kind of a hot mess.

IVF#1= 6fertilized out of 19retrieved. At 3dt, only one was 8cell "perfect" all others stopped growing. We trans. the one and only we had and obv. no frosties

IVF#2= 5fertilized out of 11 retrieved. At 3dt, we had 2@ 5cells and 3@ 3cells all five had severe fragmentation. We trans. the two 5cells as a Hail Mary. No frosties

**My RE then recommended CoQ10, Vitamin D, and DHEA. I also had an endo. biopsy (which was clear) and I took HGH injections during the cycle.**

IVF#3= Much better. 8fertilized out of the 19retrieved. At 3dt we had 3@8cells and 5 @ 6 cells all with minmal to no fragmentation. We transferred the best two 8cells which were of an A- grade. We also did AH this cycle.

When I talked to my RE today she is still insisting its an egg quality issue. She wants me to take the CoQ10 and DHEA again for a few months before cycling again, have another biopsy, continue with the HGH.

However, she doesn't believe its an immunology issue, does not want to offer PGS/PGD to me, and wants to increase my currently already high medication dosage (300iu Follistim, 150iuMenopur, 20units Lupron/day)

So....I politely told her I needed to think about it and then made 4 second opinion appts. for the upcoming month. I'm going to see what they say before I make a decision on anything. I have Factor V Leiden and something called urticaria pigmentosa (external mast cells), and have been tested for some Immunology things but nothing Reproductive wise.I agree I'd like to look into that further before jumping into DE or another OE cycle willy nilly.

I was thinking about contacting them, but we really dont have funds for me to go out of state. Hopefully they can do a phone consult and/or have labs drawn locally. Here in Chicago we have a pretty well known RI that I'd like to see Dr. Kwak-Kim. She's booked until March right now but thats ok, I'm not in a hurry.

I checked my stack of labs from over the years. It seems like T3 hasn't been drawn since Jan2009 and then it was 2.6 on a 2.3-4.2 range. However, in 2005 it was low at 23 on a 24-39range. I know my TSH is consistently high without Synthroid, I probably want to have the other thyroid labs drawn.

In 2009, I also had the ATA drawn which came back well within range (does that change ever, or am I good?) My Hematologist tested me in 2010 for Prothrombin mutation, ACA, Lupus AntiCoagulant, Beta2 Glycoprotein IgG and IgM, Protein C and S Activity, Antithrombin III Activity,Ristocetin CoFactor, and VonWillebrand all came back normal (minus the Factor V Leiden of course). At least I can knock a few things off the RI's list
