Looking at getting some high quality low cost Long sleeve and short sleeve onesies. Which are the best quality, but are the lowest cost? Where do you buy your plain onesies and under garments for layering your LO?
I buy the plain white Gerber ones at target. They are cheap but last long enough for the time LO will wear them. Just keep in mind they run small--like almost a whole size.

Thanks in advance.
I really prefer Carters over Gerbers because they run true to size and have better softer fabric and more durable. You can often find them on the racks at discounters like Ross and Marshalls for $10-11 for a 5 pack.
The Target Just One You line made by Carters seems to be of similar quality.
I once found some Gerber T-shirt style undershirts without the snaps and I really love those for layering, but I haven't seen them very frequently. We bought the largest size available 24m but since they run small we've been using it since the newborn stage.
Have you checked out any local consignment stores like Once Upon a Child? I've purchased onesies as low as $1 there before, and when you're talking newborn and small infant sizes, they're usually still in good condition since they don't last long before the child grows out of it and the child isn't very mobile.

Whatever you do, don't buy Gerber brand onesies. They are thin, cheap fabric, run small and they shrink in the wash. Carter's is the best. If you have an outlet near you, that is always a good option, but they run sales often online and have a 20% coupon every week. They run true to size, are good quality and they are cute.
I think Gerber is fine for undershirts if you just need an extra layer. They do run very small.
Carters is good. I just bought some plain onesies from Old Navy that seem really nice. I also like the plain onesies from Walmart - garganimals brand I believe.

I really like the Gerber long sleeve undershirts for layering under other outfits, but my baby was a peanut. I'm just now noticing that they are getting a little too short.
All of my other NB onesies are Carter's and they are great. I have Gap ones too, which are thicker and nicer, but I haven't had a chance to use them yet because they are huge. Circo ones are huge as well, so I haven't used mine of those either.

Also ditto pp on Ross Tjmaxx.
Gerber are poor quality and very oddly proportioned. I think they were designed to fit marshmallows.

Carter's are the best cheaper brand in my opinion. I have seen them on clearance at Target a lot lately.
