Green poop

I recently switched DD to gentlease from infant. she is acting 100 times better she is sleeping longer and not screaming after every feeding but hey poops went from mustard color to green . Has this happened to anyone else and is it a big deal?



Sorry if it's a stupid question I'm a FTM and every thing still makes me nervous

I know that green poop is normal. Is it always green? If so, maybe call pedi and ask about it. I remember that sometimes green poop would indicate having an oversupply of breast milk. But that isn't the case with you. It could be her body getting used to the new food. If it last for a while, maybe call pedi, just to check.

The iron in the formula can make the poop green.  My kids all had green poop.  Once it was even bright green (like radioactive bright green) and the pedi said that was from bile but still nothing to worry about.

I formula feed my little guy and his poop is always green and yellow... from what I've read it's just because of the iron that is in his formula.  We use gerber good start: gentle but going to try soy next can just because the store was out of his kind
