We are 4 weeks out from having a new baby and cannot figure out "the name." We're team green and have already decided on a boy name but are having such a tough time with girls names. We like old-fashioned names. We have tossed around Beatrix, Louisa, Mae, Hazel, Clementine, and about a million others. My husband just told me that he is not "in love" with any of these. I really need him to be 100% on board with whatever name--for instance he totally loves Bea but does not love Beatrix. He also loves Mae but I'm not 100% sold on it being a first name. Our daughter is named Frances, which we both love--it's old-fashioned and somehow still spunky. Any thoughts or suggestions would be super appreciated!
Re: Girl name help!
What about Matilda with the nn Mae?
Other suggestions: Camilla, Sabrina, Eleanor, Laurel, Eloise
I love Bea too! I like it with Beatrice, but my hairdresser uses it as a nickname for Belinda.
Other ideas: Camille, Teresa (Tess), Virginia (Ginny), Marianne (Mae)
