I need nap help

A goes down for a nap beautifully at daycare and goes to sleep at night with no problems, but he hasn't napped well since we switched to a twin in October. He plays in his room for hours but he won't sleep. He definitely needs a nap because he'll fall asleep the moment we get into the car, or he'll be cranky for the rest of the night. We've tried putting him down at different times, putting him in the PnP in his room, and taking the toys out of his room. Nothing works. We end up going for long drives just to get him to sleep and the nap struggle means that we haven't had weekends free for about 4 months. Help!

Welcome to my club. I've had to sit with DD every day while she fights her nap for the past 2 months since switching to the toddler bed. If I leave, she'll get up and play. No advice, just commiseration.
