Upcycled Wool Soakers

FTM here who is very excited about cloth diapering. I just found out about making your own wool soakers from old sweaters. Has anyone done this? Would you suggest waiting until my baby is actually born so I can see what size(s) to make, or is this a good project to do while I'm anxiously awaiting his arrival? Any favorite patterns or tutorials? TIA!

I just made one last night! It's super easy. I'd say to make the soakers now. It will be much easier than trying to find sewing time with an infant!
