I'm so very sorry for your loss. I highly recommend the miscarriage/pregnancy loss board for support, and TTCAL as well. There are other women there who may be able to understand what you're going through. I mostly lurked, because I could never quite figure out what to say, but I even found that helpful.
Also, I'm not sure if you were trying in the first place, or intend to try again. But I'll add this, in case it brings you any comfort: I had a miscarriage in August which led to the discovery of a 30 cm cyst on my right ovary. My ovary and tube were both removed.I was able to concieve again the very first cycle we tried after my recovery period. I understand if you choose to not to try again, or if you choose to wait a while first, but if you do, know that having one tube isn't necessarily going to prevent your success.
I'm so so sorry for your loss. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. The ladies on TTCAL board are phenomenal as well as the Miscarriage board when you're ready. I'm so sorry you are going through this. Hugs!
Oh Gcos, I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm glad that the surgery went as well as it did. Sending so many thoughts and prayers to you and your hubby for healing and recovery, both heart and body. ((((((HUGS)))))))
Oh what a terrible story. I am so, so sorry for what you are going through. I saw your comment on your ticker the other day about starting over again as a mother and I related to you. I have a 25 year old, and now a 1 year old.
I hope that you find peace and healing. If you do decide to try again, I wish you the best.
I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your caring words and thoughts and prayers, it means more than I can ever say!
We finally saw the doctor on Saturday night and the surgery itself went very well. My right tube was huge and rupture was imminent, so he was glad they'd gone in right away rather than waiting. Because of the size of the pregnancy and the damage it did to the tube he wasn't able to tell why implantation happened there, but likely there had been some blockage. Upon further investigation he found that my ovaries and remaining left tube all looked healthy and clear, so our initial fears of finding a huge mess inside have been relieved and we can look forward to the possibility of TTC again - not without some nervousness of course, I know that fear of a repeat will always be there, but at least we can begin with the knowledge that things look about as good as they can at this point.
Again, thank you all so much for your support, I'm so sad to leave this wonderful board but look forward to checking back from time to time to see how you all are doing! I'll be moving on to the Miscarriage/Pregnancy Loss board and eventually TTCAL where I know I'll be in good hands as we move forward.
