Pregnant w/ a DS/DE Baby!

Hi!
I've lurked and posted on IF and once I got a BFP, I moved over to PAIF and LGBT. I am so happy this board is here for a few reasons!
First, not everyone who uses 3rd party have fertility issues - as most on the LGBT board - not all, but most - of the women there use DS. Even without an IF struggle, you still have to digest that your child is 1/2 the genetics of someone outside of your relationship. So it's cool to have a board that focuses on 3rd party!
In our case, I am 41, and had enlarged fallopian tubes which had to be removed, low follicle count and poor AMH. While I could've taken the 10-20% change of using my OE for our IVF cycle, it was more important to us to have a better chance of a take-home baby (70%) with a DE IVF, so we did our cycle in December.
We had the 'fun' of constructing a little being based on a bunch of criteria. Our choice of egg donors was far more limited than sperm of course, so we waited until we got our egg donor signed up and then found a sperm donor to complement her. We are crazy about our egg donor, have had a few letter exchanges (anonymously) and feel the universe gave us the right donors.
I'm 8w2d and our ultrasound yesterday went great. Babykins is measuring perfect and had a hb of 165. We are really excited and I'm trying to stay calm and not worry!

I did struggle to post/fit in on IF since I didn't have longterm IF struggles, however, there wasn't really anywhere else to go for support doing IVF and using donor eggs (especially - the LGBT ladies are great for DS advice 
. The IF ladies have been wonderful, but it's so great to have this board now!!

Little S was born on 8/21/14 - 8lb, 14 oz and 20 inches long.
We live in Seattle and used SRM for our donor egg IVF cycle

I think it is incredibly wonderful that this board has the potential to unite a multitude of different histories into a camaraderie of similar journeys.

Im looking at a mid Feb transfer date using DE, so I always love reading success stores!

12-2012-after being with our agency over a year and only shown to EM once we decided to talk with RE about DEIVF. Thru a crazy sequence of events we decided to go for it and we picked a donor MUCH quicker than anticipated
1/13/2013-started lupron with anticipated transfer in mid Feb.
ER 2/15 resulted in 15 eggs/10M/6F with ICSI.
2/18 transferred 1-8cell and 1-9cell embie. Snuggle in little embies.
positive on HPT 6dp3dt. Could this really be IT?!?! Beta 14dp3dt=2440. U/S scheduled for 3/20.
ME:46 MH:44 DE IVF 2014
Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive. Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)

Thanks for sharing your story. I posted above and then of course read your post. We might be looking at a DE/DS option in the future.

Can I PM you if I have any questions? Not sure if I do right now... We're not to the stage of donor things quite yet, but I'm hording my researching like a squirrel on a birdfeeder.

Long story: trying on our own + testing testing testing with 6 rounds of Clomid, more testing, injectables + TI, laparoscopy - one tube blocked, 2 IUIs with Follistim...BFNs.
RPL testing all normal, Karyotyping normal
Moving on to IVF.
IVF #1 April 2012 = BFN, IVF #2 June 2012 = BFP. U/S 7/23 = saw heartbeat but measuring behind. Follow up U/S on 7/30 - no heartbeat. D&C 8/2. Trisomy 12. IVF #3 Oct 2012 = Chemical Pregnancy
Phone consult with CCRM on 12/12/12 - ODWU 1/4/13 - both tubes clear(!) - AFC 24, AMH 3.2, FSH 9.6, LH 5.4, E2 25. DH has high frag rate but improved!
IVF #4 March 2013 CCRM. EP protocol w/ Menopur, Gonal-F & Dexamethasone. ER 3/29 & IMSI, PICSI. 43R 13M 10F 6blasts bio'd. CCS testing reveals 3 normals!!!
FET 5/31/13 of 1 4AA blast - thawed and expanded. 4dp5dt BFP.
Beta 9dp5dt = 181, 11dp5dt = 427. 1st u/s showed a healthy heartbeat! EDD 2/16/14
After 4 years of hoping and heartbreak, our sweet little bean was born on 2/19/14
