Any one else nursing every 1.5hrs?!

My little guy wants to eat every 1.5 hrs and hardly sleeps at night either because he is so hungry all the time.  I usually get one 3 hour stretch per night and thats it.  He is 1 month old and its been this way since we came home from the hospital.  Any one else experiencing this who breastfeeds?  I am exhausted!  He is gaining weight and outputting the right amount of diapers.  When will it end so I can get some sleep?!

Sounds like a typical growth spurt. Babies when they are this little will get them often. Usually it will only last a few days then go back to normal.

We're at the same boat. My son is 5 weeks old. Be glad that he sleeps 1.5 hours coz mine he eats every hour. I feel you, I'm exhausted too. But I know it's not gonna last long. So just hang on.

I nurse on the boob all day but pump about 3 to 4 oz for right before bed. He sleeps better.

Yes, every 1 to 2.5 hours round the clock DS wants to nurse.  However, just this week (now 7 weeks old) he has had a few stretches of sleeping for 3 hours!  It's amazing!  I don't want to force him into a schedule now.   I'm just waiting for him to be comfortable going longer between feeding, but it seems like he might be headed that direction.

At one month, I think we were getting mostly 2 hr stretches. Even now at almost 2 mths, we're still in 3 hr stretches. Occasionally, I'll get a 4 hr sleep out of her, but that's really not typical.
During the day, she'll want to nurse every 30 mins or hour sometimes, but I'll take it if it means better night sleep.

All day he does this.  At night, I get longer stretches than you, but it feels like I am just a feeding machine between the naps!

Totally normal - nursing is a full time job!

My LO is the same way, I'm getting closer to 2 hours most of the time now though. It's exhausting and I feel like all I ever do is nurse, but I try to look at it as its only temporary, one day I'll miss looking down at his tiny sweet face while he nurses.

Yes. I get so excited if she naps for 2-3 hours so I can get stuff done. But I know as soon as she gets up I'm pretty much hers for the next 2-3 hours. Its like she is making up for not eating while she was sleeping. She will give us a pretty good stretch over night though.
