Re: is anyone...

  • I answered you on the April 2013 board. Keep in mind that Hypnobirthing and Hypnobabies are two different programs.

  • We will be doing hypnobirthing without a doula and will labor at home as long as I can, but will head to the hospital for the birth.
  • To prepare for DS, I took a hypnobirthing class and I had a doula who had read the book and prepped with a hypnobirthing instructor in order to help me out. I think I was my doula's first hypnobirth.

I gave birth in a hospital. I think I converted my L&D nurse to natural birthing with hypnobirthing-- she was quite skeptical at first.

I'm using hypnobabies and I am giving birth in a hospital. I have been looking for a doula in my area but so far they have been pregnant and due right before or right after me lol. There are a couple more that I'm contacting so I'll see if I can find one or not. I have lots of family and friends around so I'm hoping that I'll get a good support system in place one way or another.
Have you contacted DONA? They might even be able to send you a student doula for free.

How do I go about getting a student doula? Do I contact DONA directly?
