Sorry if this has been asked a million times.
I recently found the Hypnobirthing book (with the CD) for $7, including shipping. I've started reading the book and have enjoyed the relaxation part of the disc.
My question is do you think that I will get much benefit out of using just the book and the disc without the actual classes? I honestly don't have the time or finances for the classes, or for Hypnobabies which I've heard is more comprehensive.
TIA!
Re: Hypnobirth Without Classes?
I can't speak 100% on Hypnobirthing, as I'm doing Hypnobabies, but I know with Hbabies, it is a big time commitment. I did the classes, but it's not even that -- you have to practice using your light switch multiple times a day as well as listen to scripts every night.
Maybe Hypnobirthing is different, but if you're already saying you don't have the time to commit to the program you may want to look into one that's less intensive. (And maybe it's just 3 hr chunks of time you don't have but could do the other stuff - if so, just disregard.) If you are still wanting to do it, you could always keep an eye out here and on craigslist or ebay for someone selling their Hbabies home study course.

I actually was able to barter for a Hypnobabies home study kit so I will be getting that tomorrow. I can make time during the day for daily practice but I don't have the time to commit to classes. That requires getting a babysitter for my toddler that we can't afford and taking an hour long drive to go to a class 5 times. It's just not a good option for me right now.
Thanks for the info.
I'm interested in the answer to this also.
I am a qualified, clinical hypnotherapist, and want to follow the HypnoBirthing method, but am not sure if just reading the book and understanding Hypnotherapy will be enough.
Would love to hear what the classes involve.
