Alva Baby Diapers

I've head positive reviews on Alva Baby diapers but am wondering what the thoughts are here.  They are very affordable, so I purchased 8 of them in the newborn size, two of which have double gussets for night time use. They only cost $50 with shipping included in that amount, so I don't feel like I'm out much if we don't like them.  

What I'd like to know is if anyone has found them to be a reliable brand and what tips any of you have found helpful when using them.  I have a heavy wetter at night, should I purchase some inserts to add extra absorbency?

They're pretty good, but the inserts aren't that absorbent. I do really like the Alva bamboo 3 layer inserts for adding absorbency, or the 4 layer bamboo/MF inserts to use in place of the straight MF inserts most of them come with. Once your baby stops constantly pooping, you will need something additional to go overnight; 2 of the 4 layer combo inserts work really well.

 A lot of people love them.  They don't fit DD unfortunately so I'm destashing minus a couple to try again later.  The NB ones I got had large thigh openings and still are too big for her at 3 months!!

I love them. I recently sold my only BG and 2 Baby Kangas to buy more. I agree with PP about getting their bamboo inserts. The MF works during the day when I can change her every 1.5-2 hours but at night we're using 3 bamboo inserts. Their really thin so it's not that bulky and she makes it until 5am without feeling wet. Then I just change her into a 1 MF+ 1 Bamboo insert stuffed dipe and she's back to sleep till 8. It's lovely.

I love them for both of my LOs (2 months and 14 months).  We use one 4-layer MF/bamboo insert in each diaper.  For DS1's ON diaper, we just use 2 of the 4-layer MF/bamboos.  He is a heavy wetter and it keeps him dry all night.
