I went in there expecting, "You have PCOS". Instead, I was told all of my androgen levels were fine but my prolactin was high. I fasted and didn't bd the night before, which they said can effect it, but I was stressed (also raises it). They said I do have cystic ovaries but 20% of people have that without PCOS, so I may not have that.
But my cycles are totally irregular so I know SOMETHING is wrong. Ugh, no I have to wait probably another 3-4 weeks before I can retest it and then try something new. They are also doing testosterone tests this time, which I thought they did as part of the 1000 the first time. Anyone have any advice or simliar experiences? OH....could high prolactin explain a short bleed? My periods are only 1-2 days. Of course I forgot to ask.
