Charter bus vs train

LO and I are traveling up to Cambridge, MA with my husband and his school in February. Has anyone ever traveled on charter bus before with a baby? I'm concerned because it does not have seatbelts. I plan on holding my LO in my lap the entire trip.

Or should I just buy a train ticket and take Amtrack up to MA?

My mom just took her first train ride from Birmingham, AL to D.C. last weekend. She absolutely LOVED it, and she wants to go again this summer with DS and me. How long would you be on the bus if you take the charter?

6 hours for both the train and bus.

I don't mind taking the train but I would be by myself. How in the world would I go to the bathroom? I would like to take the bus because my husband will be on the bus. I am just concerned about safety.

I've taken the train before on this same trip just without a baby. I love the the train. It is one of my favorite ways to travel. You will love it!
