Pretty sure it's recommended to only use the Original scent. Although, I read about people using all different kinds of detergent-Gain, All, Tide Free & Clear, liquid instead of powder...I think it's more trial and error. You have to find something that gets your diapers clean, doesn't cause build-up or rashes, and leaves your diapers smelling fresh and clean out of the wash.
Take what I'm saying with a grain of salt though, I just washed my first load of diapers with Tide. I was using homemade detergent before.
