Hair pulling again

DD pulled out a lot of her hair back in August. She did it when she was napping mostly. It was starting to grow back and yesterday while she was at daycare, she pulled out a lot and has a bald spot now. I thought she had outgrown it. Would you talk to your doctor about it or let it go?

    Ds does this (although he hasn't pulled out any hair yet, but he barely has any to begin with). I mentioned it to the pedi and he said it was a normal soothing technique a lot of kids go through and it can be common for them to create a bald spot. He said that most of them outgrow it so that I shouldn't worry about it now.
