just a heads up, you might want to ask this question in the thread that someone started specifically for moms who are feeding their babies rice cereal. i forget exactly what it's called, but it was created yesterday. rice cereal is apparently a hot button issue (i have no clue why), but some folks may not respond with nice helpful answers. we don't do cereal yet, so i have no advice.

I think it's more of a hot button issue when people add it to their bottle without there being a medical necessity for it.
Some people don't choose to feed rice cereal to their LOs when they start on solids but that's their choice.
so now any hotbutton issues have to be diverted to a specific thread? that's pretty ridiculous, imo.
not that any of you in here have a problem with it, just saying in general
Agreed! It is ridiculous but it is better than listening to the "preachers" on how to properly raise YOUR child and what the rest of the mothers are doing wrong

Notice, No one ever actually agreed with the single poster who tried to divert it to another thread.
no, it's a good direction to give because that's where it has been talked about. But in general I don't want people to think they need to be walking on egg shells about topics that are controversial to some.

i think elfchique is throat punching me in her post. i think that's a good reason right there to take this and perhaps other controversial topics it to a "safe" thread... where you shouldn't have to worry about jerks or throat punches ffs.

Hey Mmathewson,
Really? Come on.
This was bitchier than I intended.
mmathewson, let it go. She is welcome to post a question wherever she'd like. Having you pass out advice on how to correctly post in this board is annoying. You showed up yesterday.
Re: rice cereal
Thank you anyways

Just pointing out, none of the "preachers" had been here, as of the posting of this reply.
Also, OP, talk to your pedi about starting your baby on cereal. Pedi is there for a reason.
