Well, the ultrasound definitely didn't go as I thought it would. When there wasn't a baby visible and they started measuring the sac ... I knew it wasn't good! It measured at 6 weeks. I should have been 9 weeks 3 days. The perinatologist met us in his office. I was already in tears because I knew ....
He said he's going to wait 2 weeks to see if I miscarry it naturally. If not, I have an appointment on the 30th for another ultrasound and to see if they need to schedule a d&c. He gave me another prescription for metformin and told me could try again after my next cycle. The thing that's puzzling to me is I'm still turning pg tests pretty damn positive (lol, took one yesterday for peace of mind). How long does it take hormone levels to go back down? If this baby stopped forming 3 weeks ago, then I would have thought my levels would have left my system by now. But that's neither here nor there.
My hubby took off the day to be with me at home. I just couldn't go to work after I found out. He held me while I cried. The perinatologist even gave me a big hug. I knew there was a reason I chose that OB practice. They're pretty wonderful. So I plan on indulging in my wine collection tonight! Oh how I've missed my wine!! 
Thanks for all the support, ladies! You've all been wonderful. I've enjoyed the laughs and snarkiness. Happy & healthy 9 months to all of your wonderful mommies. I'm just thankful I have my 9 yo to hug and love on and cherish! We'll be trying again! If it's ok, I'd love to pop in now and again to see all the updates and progress! I love babies!

I hope you are able to pass everything naturally if that is what you are hoping for. Many thoughts and prayers hun. You will be greatly missed here.

Oh girl, I'm so so sorry you're going through this. I also highly recommend TTCAL, they're are some of the most wonderful and supportive ladies there.
As for your hCG levels, they won't go back to zero until after your miscarriage is complete. With my first it was a little over 4 weeks after the D&C that they hit zero and with my second it was closer to 7 weeks after the D&C. And with my ectopic it only took a few days because the levels were so low to begin with.

As for your hormone levels I had a missed miscarriage, the baby stopped growing at 7 weeks and we didn't know until 9 weeks and all my hormones were still surging. Not only that but I had a D&C and still turned tests positive for the next 6 weeks. I finally got a negative a few days before my first period.
