Oh hai. It was Shabnam. It's an Iranian name. But I was born in Los Angeles and raised here and even though my parents named me such a fugly name, they always called me Shaby pronounced like "not too shabby". So I grew up always being called Shaby and I legally changed it right before I got married.

Coworkers are great. Boss is great. I don't deal with vendors or customers. I'm by myself 80% of the time. They promote social interaction between departments so we have a lot of snacks around. Low to no stress. They actually WANT me to finish school and have offered to flex my hours to work around classes. Annnnd I like what I do too?

My last job was incredibly stressful and they made it clear i wouldn't get to move up the ladder without my degree no matter how much i proved myself. and they were generally d*cks to deal with. so i'm glad i switched.

Nope, I haven't done an update. Our relationship is not good at all. Our husbands work together so the men swapped Christmas presents. I wrote her a sincere thank you text for our gifts but I never got a thank you in return. I guess that's to be expected from a woman who has held a grudge with her own grandmother for two years. She's a very toxic person, and I suppose I don't need that! Thanks for asking!
