This is the place to update us on your IUI cycle or your break and offer support to each other! This will be posted on Wednesdays. If I missed your update, let me know and I will update it on the list, thanks. Even if you are on a break right now, we would love to hear your update!

I am currently 9 days past IUI on my 4th IUI.  I have been feeling crampy lately which is normally how I feel around this time when cycles don't work so I am trying not go get my hopes up.  I tested this morning to see if my trigger is out of my system and it is.   My beta is 1/22.

 

QOTW:  If you can time travel to any period in your life (past/future), what advice would you tell yourself? OOO this is a tricky one. I would go back maybe 5 years and tell myself "it is not normal for someone to not get a period at all, don't let the ob/gyn blow you off and get yourself diagnosed!"

Good morning ladies!! Thank you so much for the hugs much needed this month; we are taking break this month.......and we are going to try on our own however timing isn't on our side as I am going to be out of town during my peak ovulation time!! But I am really going to take this month off to try to pull myself together!

If I could go back I would go to myself in college and really stress to myself to never ever give up my dreams! I would also go back to myself 2years ago and tell myself this IF journey will be a rough journey but to rely on support people and hold on tightly to my dream! I wish I could have got to this board sooner to have such an amazing support system!!!!!!!

QOTW - I was inspired by the movie Looper (pretty good, BTW) and if I had a choice I would go back in time and tell myself to treasure those moments with grandparents, I never thought I would lose them so soon in my adult life.

Sitting waiting for cd7 monitoring after three days of injects. I'll update this after I see what's going on.

**Update** no follies above 10 and 11mm today but since it's only cd7 it did seem a little early for me to go in.  I'm hoping they don't ask me to come in again until Monday to save a little OOP money.  I think four more days of stims and I'll then be ready since I usually have IUIs on cd13 that would put me at Wednesday for IUI with triggering Monday night.

 

QOTW: I guess I would go back five years ago and convince myself that the economy will suck for a long time so to find a career job quick after leaving my job in Wis. To move back to I'll to marry DH. And prefferably one with IF insurance.

I have quit over 2 years ago, but it was the hardest thing I've ever had to do and I will always wonder if I've done damage after 14 years as a full time smoker that will never be fully healed and I'll suffer later in life with heart disease, COPD or cancer.

Kudos on quitting!  Not an easy task!  I work in drug prevention, so we are always having people come by asking for help on quitting.  After about a year, your lungs clean themselves out, so by quitting you really reduced your risk of getting those, so don't be too hard on yourself!  (And I hope your cycle ends soon so you can get going again!)

Currently 6dp IUI#1 and hanging in! Staying busy with some re organization and dinner dates with friends! Work has been crazy busy lately so that has helped pass the days! I did not test out my trigger and now I am kicking myself haha I should have! Beta scheduled for 1/25/13

I am sitting here trying to think if there is a spot where I would go back. I think if I could I would go back about 3-4 years and really look for another job. I am in a dead end position going nowhere and I wanted to make a change at that point and I didn't.

Today is CD1 and we are moving on to IVF this cycle. I am nervous but excited.

QOTW: I would go back to the year after college when I decided to go to Law School and tell myself that it just isn't worth it!

I don't really have anything to update. I'm on CD30 of my natural cycle, and I kind of half arsed charting and didn't get a +OPK or see a temp shift. I don't know if I just missed it or I didn't O. Hopefully this cycle ends soon because w/o monitoring and appointments I forgot how long a cycle is.

Kudos to you for quitting! I quit almost 2 1/2 years ago myself and it was so much harder than I ever could have expected! Hoping AF shows soon for you!

Oh wow -- I am just astounded by some of the bad news that has come up today.  Big hugs to all those who need it.....

Where are we?:  I'm in the 2ww.  We did our iui yesterday morning and it went well, we had a great sample, so that's something. 

Update:

I tried to test out the trigger shot this time around, but the test I used this morning just gave me a negative (3 days past trigger) -- so I'm not sure if I just metabolized it faster than normal, or if it just didn't work.  I'm a little weirded out by that, but trying not to worry that it means something is wrong.   Any words of wisdom would be appreciated.

Otherwise, we are okay.   I am still catching up with everything that has happened in the past few months (our DOR dx, my partner had surgery, a bunch of other things).... and so I'm a bit overwhelmed and stressed today after talking with my therapist this morning about it.  It's just... hard.

 

QOTW:  If I could go back in time, I would go back to 5 years ago when I started to experience the changes in my menstrual cycle and push for more testing.... maybe, although on consideration now, I'm not sure if it would have shown anything because my AMH is very low, but most of my other hormones look good.    I don't know really....

 After meeting with our new RE, we complete IUI #2 this past weekend. It was a little different this cycle, we did Femera 5MG CD 3-7 and added Follistim CD7-10 @ 75IUC. On my CD10 monitoring appt which was Friday I had 2 follicles one @ 17MM and another @ 19MM. My RE had me trigger ASAP which was @ 10AM and finish whatever I had left of Follistim which was about 175IUC. We had our IUI the next day on Saturday at 9:15AM. DH had a count of 12.5 million with was almost double what we had our past IUI amd we BD the next two days. I had alot of bloating Saturday but by Sunday it was pretty much gone. Now I'm just trying to get through this 2WW. I go in for bloodwork this Friday to get my progesterone checked and then the following Friday for a Beta. GL to everyone cycling!

QOTW: If you can time travel to any period in your life (past/future), what advice would you tell yourself? I would travel back to about 2 years ago and tee myself to wait for a job offer closer to home so I wouldn't have to travel far for work.

I have monitoring tomorrow and most likely IUI 7 on Saturday.  I'm praying now that this UTI that I feel coming on isn't going to cancel us!

QOTW:  If you can time travel to any period in your life (past/future), what advice would you tell yourself?  I wouldn't tell myself anything.  I am who I am because of my experiences, good and bad.  Well, maybe I would tell myself that my dress was about to get stuck under my backpack in high school and I would be walking around for 20 minutes with my rear showing.  I might say something about that!

We are doing IUI 6, mix cycle again. I go in for monitoring on Monday. Woot woot. Hoping this is our cycle! :

I would tell myself to follow my gut and have hubby tested earlier than the one year mark. And non baby related, I'd tell myself to never stop working out! It sucks starting it up again! lol

you have me in the right category, I am in the 2ww, the progesterone suppositories are making my hip hurt (weird) but other than that, just trying to keep busy till I can test on the 25th. fx to my cycle buddies MrsSmith414, Kittymom6, and SillWombanda07! And to all the other ladies

I would go back to when I was a teenager, and let myself know that things would get better. Focus on school more, and on boys less. Also to get help sooner with depression.

I am in the 2ww of IUI #1. Just started on the endometrin suppositories yesterday. Its a good thing that a couple friends IRL have used this and warned me about the wonderfulness of the leaking suppository from my hoo ha.  Trying to keep my hopes from being too high. 

 I would go back to high school and tell myself not to care so much about what the cool kids think. I see these people on Facebook now, and know what a great life I have....and it didn't matter who I was friends with back then.

I am going in for IUI 4 on Monday. Since DH's count was low last time he has been taking fertility blend for men and has also given up alcohol. Hopefully that will boost his count! I had 3 follicles that were almost ready today so I am triggering tomorrow night to give them a little longer to mature.

If I could time travel and give myself advice I would go back to when I was 16 and convince myself not to date the guy I liked at the time. He was bad news, and dating him messed me up for years after.

Hi all!

Back from a break.... I went in to start the cycle for IUI #4 in December to find out that the follistim had created a large cyst, so was out of the running for December. For some reason- it really hit me hard and I decided to take a much-needed break from everything baby related and clear my head for that month. But I'm back!

What would I go back in time and tell myself? Probably to start TTC a little earlier - and not to move to the location we are in now- I moved to be closer to work but am now away from all of my friends which is tough especially now!
