So it has been a while since I posted my intro according to last period Im 6 weeks should have been able to see heartbeat on ultrasound but that was not the case my appt. Since then I have been bleeding been put on bedrest. Blood test show hcg levels rising but with a history of miscarriage berween each live birth I'm scared that its happening again.

Hi Bonnie,

So sorry you're going through this. 6 weeks is really early to see anything; if your dates are off by even a couple of days, you might not see what you think you should.  That's why a lot of docs won't even do an ultrasound until 7 or 8 weeks.  Are you bleeding heavily and is it red (like full-on AF), or is it more like spotting?  Your blood test results sound promising.  Hang in there, and please keep us updated.

I agree with Melissa--at this stage, just a few days can make a big difference in what you see (or don't) on an ultrasound. Don't give up hope just yet. I read that 1/3 of successful pregnancies have some first-tri spotting/bleeding associated with them. I sincerely hope that turns out to be the case for you. Stay strong and please update when you find out more.

I'm sorry you didn't get better news but that is so early to have an u/s and see anything like the others said.  I hope you are able to see the hb at your next one.  I know how scary this is, hang in there .
