Can we talk about baby poop? (This may get graphic...)
Here's my situation: DD is 6 weeks old and is exclusively BF since birth. Her first week or so she met all poop diaper 'requirements' right down to her poop turning seedy. Since then, this has changes signicantly. She now goes once every 2 to 3 days and it's like mustard, no seedy-ness. I mentioned it to the pedi at her 1month appointment and they said since she is gaining weight, passing gas, not struggling to go and peeing a lot not to worry. I also have pumped several times after she nurses to make sure she's at the hind milk, and I'm satisfied that she is.
But of course I'm still worried about it. So please tell me, how ols is your LO, how often is your LO going and what's it like these days? Thanks!
Re: Can we talk about baby poop?
LO is ebf and she has gone over 24 hours without pooping. Usually, once she gets to the point where I start to worry and think that I should call pedi, she poops shortly after. Yesterday she pooped 2x and I was really excited.
My pediatrician said it's perfectly normal for breastfed babies to go up to 10 days between poops. I don't think that's totally right, and I'd be freaking if LO went that long, but I'm supposing every few days is OK so long as she continues to be comfortable and not needing to struggle to go.

Atticus is still pooping several times a day, also EBF, but is only 2 weeks old. His poop is neon orange, too!
