Better late than never :)

With traveling to anchorage to have our daughter, and back home, and settling in I did not even think to write an introduction! So here we are!

Alivia Jane was born on December 6th (2 weeks early). She weighed 7lbs 6ozs and was 19 1/2 inches long.

I had my 38 week checkup on December 4th-and was 3cm dilated so she asked if I wanted her to strip my membranes (I had been having contractions 2-3 minutes apart for days!) so I said yes. Right after that appointment I began having stronger contractions. We were admitted to the hospital at 5cm on December 5th at 3pm. I received the epidural around 5pm (still at 5cm) and my water broke around 7:30 on its own. Started pushing at 11:15 and Alivia was born at 12:22 am on the 6th. Labor was much faster and easier and I felt I managed it better than with our first daughter.

So far everything is going well. She will be 6 weeks tomorrow. This is the 3rd night sleeping in her crib (and only waking once to eat the last 2 nights) So hopefully tonight goes just as well. Big sister just absolutly adores her!
