Hi Ladies!! Just stumbled across these message boards and have been enjoying reading your posts so I thought I would join in! I am a FTM and some of your posts have already helped me since this has been a huge learning curve already! My baby girl has been pretty easy so far but I am full of questions and concerns and can't wait to get your input. Might as well start now...I am thinking about getting her ears pierced but am not sure when to do it. At her two month check up I saw a sign on the door saying that they do ear piercings at her doctors office, so that's probably where I'll have it done.

I posted about this last week and most moms are waiting until they're daughter is older like 5 to 10 years old. I want to get my LO's done soon, nut haven't decided when yet. I think I'm going to ask the pedi next time.

Welcome! I'm curious about a good age for ear piercings as well. I know I had mine done when I was 2 years old but I'd worry about my daughter pulling at it and possibly getting them infected.

I wanna do it now so that I can be the one cleaning them and make sure she doesn't get an infection....DH wants to wait for her to make the decision that she wants them herself...So its up in the air at my house.

That's what I was thinking also. Not to mention she's young enough that it won't be a traumatizing experience for both of us!! My parents took the "wait till she asks for them" approach and I was two when I got mine done.

We are doing this LO next month. We did her sister at 10 months and never had problems. My dd1 had several friends have it done between 67 years and they had lots of issues infections, etc.. We wanted to wait until the worst of the spit up had ended this time..
