feeling defeated already, how do i snap out of it?

appointment with my RE today. i am already on estrace for FET #2 on Feb. 1st.

i got pg w/ IVF #1 but miscarried, FET #1 was an epic fail.

i just lost it in the REs office today. i just feel like we're doing the same thing as last FET and are doomed to fail.

his response was that he has a hundred babies that came from FET.

what does the events of someone else's uterus have to do with mine?

i raised the issue that my lining has never gotten above a 6.5

he says since i got pg then, 5.9 must be a functional lining for me.

i left feeling even more defeated than when i went in 

i don't know how to snap out of it

I cant help you on the defeated part. We are a party of 2 with lots of chocolate and beer. This crap sucks so bad and I feel ya. So why isnt he doing anything to try to build a better lining? Do you do the estrace vaginal also? Patches? How many times a day do you take oral estrace? Im being nosy Im sorry. I always fight to get a decent lining which is partly why Im going the viagra route. To promote blood flow and build a better lining and not bleed it out. Good luck lady.

i only take the estrogen orally (2x a day now, up to 3x a day before transfer). no patch or suppository for me. my estrogen level was through the roof at ivf (>1500) but still lining less than 7. he finally put me on viagra (vaginally) today after i lost it in his office. so as of tomorrow, i will be joining the blue undie club with you.

You listen to ME, Missy!!!  You GOT pregnant!!!!!  I know it was heartbreaking to have a mis, I've had them.  I know you feel like it is NEVER going to happen to you.  But this was actually somewhat SUCCESSFUL.  It indicates that it's the right procedure for you!  

My RE said to me at my last appointment (and I almost killed her, but she was right) "this is going to happen - just not on your timeline."  

Take it EASY.  TRUST your doctor and if you DON'T find another!  

Everything is ok in the end, and if it's not okay, it's not the end.

Heck yeah!! Im not the only one walking around with a smurf in their panties. I have read good things about it and a colleague of my RE uses it all the time and has good results with it. He even doesnt have them start it till a week before transfer, so we will be getting more of it. I sure hope it works for us. Thats crazy your E2 was that high with not taking that much of it. If loosing it in the office is what it takes to make things happen then hell throw a full on bipolar tantrum and see where that gets you. He may give you a break on your cycle costs lol. Yeah right, wishful thinking. Wel my ET looks like it will be the 4th so i'll only be 3 days behind you. Good luck to us.

I'm rooting for you lincoln!  My FET is scheduled for 2/4 as well.   I have lining issues too.  Hope this cycle is your take home baby!

I am sorry.  I don't really know how to snap you out of it, but I'm sorry you are feeling defeated.  I also feel kind of defeated and we haven't even started our FET cycle yet.   I think it's normal to feel that way after having multiple IVF/FET cycles and still no baby.  But hopefully your RE knows what he's doing and will help you finally have success.  I'm rooting for you!

I just want to offer you (((hugs))). I feel defeated too and we've barley begun. I'm not sure how you get out of it, it's hard to; but I just keep telling myself I have to keep moving forward, there is no other option. Hang in there.
