8 month old stopped eating solids

in Babies: 6 - 9 Months

My friends 8 month old has stopped eating his gerber purees (stage 2). Is this normal? Has this happened to anyone? She is at a loss. His daycare did say they ate for them yesterday but she cant get him to take anything.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

    I read from some other people that posted or talked about this on this board that, that was when they tried more solid foods, like soft apples or avacado, and their LO ate food that way.  I guess it was just the baby's way of saying they were ready and wanted bigger people food??

    9/30/2019 - IUI #1 (5 mg of Letrozole + Trigger) =  BFP but Betas showed CP @ 4 weeks
    10/28/2019 - IUI #2 (7.5mg of Letrozole + Trigger) = BFN
    11/25/2019 - IUI #3 (7.5mg of Letrozole, Trigger + Crinone after IUI) = BFN
    12/24/2019 - IUI #4 (7.5mg of Letrozole + Crinone after IUI) = BFN
    1/24/2020 - IUI #5 (50mg of Clomid + Trigger + Crinone after IUI) = BFN and an Ovarian Cyst
    3/2/2020 - Taking a break to reset/NTNP
    11/1/2020 - At peace with where things are in life and are no long actively TTC. Whatever happens will happen and it will all be okay. <3

    Our ped said this is normal.  It happened with DD at 9mo.  We started table food at that point and she did great.

    DS eats mostly finger foods and pureed veggies, and he's only still on those because I have so many frozen.

    I guess I should have scanned through a few more posts as I just posted something very similar. My son loved to eat solids, and did great with pureed and chunky foods up until a couple of weeks ago (he woulda been 10months or 6.5 corrected, so over two full months of good eating). And now he refuses the spoon.  It seems now the only way he'll eat is if its finger foods that he can feed himself.
