Legal Risk Placement Out of State Question

Hello!

Does anyone know if a child being shown as "available for adoption" but also as "legal risk" because TPR is expected to occur but hasn't yet - would be allowed to be placed out of state?

I submitted an inquiry on a sibling pair who live in a different state than we do (not even a bordering state - actually 2 states away) and now I'm wondering if we'd even be considered since it is legal risk.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!!!

  • I don't know, and think this may vary by state, but I'm sure it would make things easier for them to keep the children in their home state.

  • Thanks for the thoughts - I'll let you know what we hear!  I can totally see both possibilities.
