Yeesh yesterday was hard!

Ok I've heard a two yr old be referred to as terrible twos and I didn't believe it till yesterday. DD was an absolute monster! She Fought me at nap time then laughed like it was a game, destroyed her room and pulled everything out of the changing table, fits followed by throwing herself on the floor, yeah timeouts happened a lot too...good grief!!! I was sick too and it was not a good combo. Ugh please tell me they grow out of the monster phase! I'm hoping today is better....so far so good.....

Yes, we had days like that when DD was 2.  It does get better.  I think it some of it has a lot to do with them learning how to express themselves, but not knowing how to 'control' (for lack of a better word) their feelings.  For me the hardest part was that DD was so whiny at 2, not so much tantrums and such and the whining went through me like a knife...The more you can ignore the behavior or redirect the better because if they get a rise out of you it only adds fuel to the fire, but easier said than done.
