I love my cuisinart. I have the medium (11 cup) size and I use it for typical food processor stuff, but also for making doughs (especially pie dough) and for slicing/shredding veggies and cheese.

My parents got me a Cuisinart one a little while back. I've only used it once or twice so far, but I'm wanting to use it more and to think of things like this to do with it to save me time/hassle.
Now is the kitchen aid the one with the attachments you can buy?
I'm pretty sure you are thinking of the mixer. The processor comes with different blades and different size bowls. Between my mixer and my salad shooter I hardly ever use my processor, if I'm making pie I just use an old fashioned pastry blender. I do get it out when I want to crush crackers, nut, or oats.
You're thinking of the kitchenaid stand mixer but as far as food processors go I currently have a kitchenaid and I used to have a Cuisinart. Between the two I preferred the Cuisinart as it seemed to have a much faster spin speed which resulted in much better textures for things like hummus

This.
I use mine quite a bit. Last week I shredded zucchini, sliced cucumbers, and made broccoli pesto. The little bowl insert is nice because I can use it for small jobs like turning one slice of bread into bread crumbs or making a small batch of pesto.
Penny, I am also all about my pastry blender for dough.
