LO to a toddler bed/twin bed?

I've asked on SAHM board and have gotten great responses, but was wondering what y'all are planning on doing?

I'm wondering if I should try and transition DS before the new baby comes or just borrow my friends second crib.

    We are going to try to transition at 20 months.  If I happen to have a c-section, I'll need her in a toddler bed since DH will only be home at night with me for the first 2 weeks.  She loves her crib so much so we are just going to convert that and hope all goes well.

    We're moving in a few months and in the new house he has a  big bedroom so I plan on setting up both his crib, and the toddler bed we bought so he doesnt have to go cold turkey to a bed and if it doesnt work out so well he can always use the crib

    Hopefully not for a while. Maybe sometime after 2, or whenever I think she's ready.

    Not for a while. I think we'll buy a second crib.

    Jess & Adam, married 2009, precious Audrey born in 2011. BFP 1/6/13, 6-wk MMC discovered at 9 wks 2/11/13. D&C 2/18/13, second D&C 4/23/13 for retained placenta.
    BFP 8/24/13!! EDD 5/1/14, delivered healthy and sweet Zoey Leanne on 5/5/14 by repeat c-section.

    We transitioned already to a toddler bed.  Twin bed will come when she literally outgrows her toddler bed and has her feet sticking between the rails, LOL!

    We transitioned to the toddler bed 2-3 months ago.  DD has always been what I call "a free range girl" and doesn't like to be caged and her crib was certainly that.  The transition was a little bumpy but worth it overall.  She still sleeps about the same as she did before but wakes up much calmer and happier than she did when it was in crib mode.

    Our house will be built in about 3 months, so probably when we move.  We'll just see if he's ready then.

    Haven't even thought about it! I won't until DS tries to climb out of his crib which he hasn't even tried. He has a convertible crib so we will just transition it to toddler bed when it is time. I am hoping it doesn't happen til after we have a routine down with DS2 and he is STTN.

    I guess it would depend on the kid but DS was in is crib til he was 3.5 and I can't imagine kicking him out before 3 (that's the earliest I feel he would have been ready.) If I were to get pregnant now I would probably wait to see how DD is and see if she was ready or not. I would also take into account that my baby would be in the cosleeper for the first six months with me.

    We ended up buying a 2nd crib. 

    I think we will start to transition to a toddler bed around 24 months.  We will see though!
