Stroller questions from 03m

https://m.thebump.com/cs/ks/forums/71300932/ShowThread.aspx71300932

I am curious what you think? I want a really good stroller that goes well over bad sidewalks. I have old stuff to trade in at BRU for 25 off a new item and we need a good stroller that works with Graco SnugRide 22lb infant carrier and is not too heavy, bulky and works well on uneven sidewalks. I figured a three wheeler would work best but need opinions! Thanks!

Re: Stroller questions from 03m

  • I cant' get your link to open, but if you are interested in 3-wheelers that take bumps well, I can recommend the BOB.  Our other stroller is an Uppa Baby Vista, and I must admit that I think the BOB is easier to steer and has a nicer ride for LO than the UBV (though the seat is admittedly not as plush).  The BOB has adapters for most car seats (I assume they have one for Graco).

    Good luck in your search!

  • I don't have a great stroller yet :[ I like the BOB a lot, but I know a couple of families that have the Schwinn jogging stroller, and love it. It seems to me that it has a lot of the same features as the BOB. I like that you don't have to purchase the extras [cupholder, snack tray] separately. I'm no sure if its compatible with cars seats though. It is however a couple hundred dollars less than the BOB. This is appealing to me since I don't think we'll have more kids to use it with [to justify the cost]. GL!

  • I love my citi mini gt. it's more expensive, and you have to buy the car seat adaptor also, but the weight, ride, and ease of it make it well worth it, IMO. Note: the non gt has different wheels, among other things, and doesn't ride quite as nicely, but is still a good stroller for a little cheaper.

  • I can't get your link to work either.  We have a 2011 City Mini.  I think the 2012s have more storage underneath, which would be nice.  We have the plain ol' model, not the Elite.  The Elite does look quite nice, though.

Our sidewalks are jacked here and it takes them like a champ.  We also spent 2 weeks in Europe with it (both with the kid in the carseat with adapter and the kid in just the stroller part) and it took those streets like a champ, even cobblestones with large spaces inbetween each stone.  It's also exceedingly easy to handle and even easier to fold up.  My only annoyance with it is the attachment for the carseat and that's just because I have to take it off and on to fold it up.  I've heard the Bob is a workhorse too, but it's also more expensive.

As an FYI, no stroller is great at not jostling your drinks in the cupholders, so use fully closed containers or carry them.  Says the girl that's had liquids fly from mostly closed containers...

  • I'm not sure if they solved the issue with the newer models or what, but I don't have to take the adaptor off the gt to fold it. And I second all the things Karen said, especially about spilling drinks. Been there, done that.

Just popping back in to "third" this note.  The drink holder, IMO, only works well with completely closed bottles of water.  Otherwise it is pretty useless).

  • Hi everyone, thanks for your responses. The stroller in that link was the Graco FastAction stroller. I have old items to trade in at BRU for 25 off a new item and we need a new stroller. I definitely want a three wheeler type. We are not using it for jogging but definitely walking on bumpy surfaces. The BOB is too expensive and although I have my eye on the City Mini, it is not on the BRU trade in program. So I am limited to the Graco as the other brands that qualify for the trade in program had bad reviews. Does anyone have the Graco Fast Action stroller? There is one that is a three wheeler standard stroller and one that is a jogging stroller. The jogging one just came out and is so new there is just one review on the BRU site. I also have a SnugRide up to 22lbs so I don't know if it will work with the stroller as it talks about a Click Connect. It isn't a major issue if my car seat doesn't work with it as we have a snap n go.
