August 2013 Moms

Odd question

Not sure if this is odd or not or if it's normal...I have had on and off cramping for 8 weeks now ( I am just shy of 8 weeks prego) and have my first appointment next week Thursday (the 24th)...well I seem to have stopped cramping? Should I take that as a good sign? I had a MC with our first so I guess every little thing is making me wonder...thanks!

Re: Odd question

  • It is normal for cramping to come and go.

This. You said yourself your cramping has been on and off anyways, you're just 'off' right now.

    All ALers welcome!

  • I'm in the exact same boat!  I'd been cramping and then this week it's no where near as noticeable. I'm on week 7, my first apt. is next Friday (the 25th).

I'm glad it's nothing to worry about!

My biggest issue has been food "sitting" at the base of my sternum.  I guess it's technically indigestion, but I think it's crazy that it's starting this early on.

  • I had a lot of mild cramping (more like twinges and pulls with occasional cramps) for a long time, and it was pretty constant, all day every day. I'm not sure when they disappeared but it was weeks ago and now I only feel it once in a blue moon.

  • Thanks ladies :) I know it may seem odd, but my first pregnancy ended a week after I found out I was pregnant (my hcg levels were only at 32 when I found out, they said I was lucky I even knew and miscarried a week later at 4 weeks ) so everything is scaring me, but so far everything seems to be going good, but I am questioning EVERYTHING!
  • I had reasonably strong cramping up until I was 8 weeks, then it subsided.

Now I have round ligament pain so there's always some symptom coming and going.

I sympathise with your concern, after 2 miscarriages myself, but try not to worry too much about all the changes and new sensations.
