Feel one baby more than other?

A is head down and B is breech and it seems like I feel A waaaay more than B.  Is it just because of their positions, or is it possible one is simply less active?  Growth scans and my first NST on Monday show everything is fine and they are both growing like they shoud, but it still worries me for some reason that I hardly ever seem to feel B.  What is/was your experience with feeling movement?

  • My A is breech and my B is transverse across my ribs.  When I lay down on my sides I can feel A moving but I cannot feel A externally but every once in a while.  My SO has only felt A a handful of times due to this.   I also have to really focus and pay attention to my lower belly to feel A.

Baby B is a completely different story.  He has actually created a shelf at the top of my belly and I can always now find his whole body and most is visable.  Every single movement he does I feel.  I sometimes think I feel him so much I am just not noticing A.

I asked my doctor about A's movement because they always ask me if I am feeling the babies at every appointment and he said it is probably due to how squished A is at the bottom now that I have dropped.  The only reasurrance I have from A is he gets hiccups all the time and I can feel those in my rear.

  • Mone were the exact same way. The thick part of A's placent could be facing you belly so there is more "coushion" between they two of you. This was the case with us. Also, A was very active but not as active as B. he was calmer and didn't thrash around, much like now. I'd say try not to worry but...I never could relax either :

  • I feel B way more than A. At our a/s yesterday, B had all the room in the world while she had A smushed into one spot so I guess maybe that's why.

  • I posted something similar when I was pregnant. A was soo active that B almost seemed completely inactive at times. I worried all the time, and I used to find his feet and poke him to make sure he was responsive.

  • I feel Baby B more than Baby A, but I think that's because Baby A is breech and face down, so she kicks/jabs "inward".  Both are doing great!

  • I've only been able to feel them for a few weeks consistently now but I feel A alllll day long. Head down and punching my cervix. B (transverse under ribs) I only feel at night, after dinner, between 6-9pm. I'm lucky if I feel anything before or after that time. We have our first growth scan this Friday and I will see if they have moved at all or not. They definitely both have their own cycles of activity. B's placenta is anterior so it's possible he's moving all day too and I only feel him after a meal when he gets all riled up.

Awww, for some reason this just made me really excited to feel two babies!

  • I always felt Baby B more than A and even now he is way more squirmy than his brother. A got the hiccups all the time so that's how I knew he was ok.....and he still gets the hiccups all the time!
